ConfManage: rebuilding an established conference platform for its next stage
The challenge was to modernize an established conference product—its technology, experience and capabilities—without disrupting ongoing work or losing years of historical data.

The challenge
ConfManage was already supporting real conference and research workflows, with years of data and established user habits behind it. Its earlier technology and interfaces, however, were making new development slower and limiting how comfortably the product could evolve.\nStarting over was not an option. The new generation had to protect historical records, respect the workflows users already relied on and maintain operational continuity, while still delivering a clear step forward in performance and experience.
Our solution
Ghazal Tech re-engineered the platform on a modern, more reliable foundation and redesigned both the public website and the internal workspaces. Existing capabilities were refined rather than discarded, while new modules, service plans and external integrations were introduced.\nHistorical data was carried into the new generation so the product could move forward without losing its accumulated value. An iThenticate integration was also added to make paper checking more convenient and shorten the research workflow without exposing unnecessary technical complexity to users.
Implementation
The work began with a close review of the first-generation product, its user journeys and the operational requirements behind them. That understanding guided the new technical foundation and the redesigned experience.\nFeature continuity, data migration and the new capabilities were developed and tested together. The result was evaluated against the earlier generation from both a functional and visual perspective before being prepared for continued use and future expansion.
